Shelton Veterinary Clinic - Elkton's Dedicated Team
Our team of veterinary professionals is dedicated to delivering the best customer service and compassionate care to you and your pets and large animals.
Shannon Caskie — Hospital Manager
Shannon is originally from California where she grew up riding and showing horses. At the age of 16 she started in the veterinary field cleaning stalls at a 24-hour surgical and intensive care equine hospital. She quickly advanced into an assistant technician. It was there that she knew caring for animals was what she wanted to do. After relocating to Florida, Shannon became part of the Shelton Veterinary Clinic team in March of 2005 as a field technician. Since then Shannon has become more involved in all areas of the hospital. In 2007, she took on the role of hospital manager.
Today you will find Shannon in surgery assisting the veterinarian, cleaning cages or running around the hospital making sure everything is in operating order. Even though she has taken on more management responsibility, her true passion goes back to her roots in caring for foals.
Lindsey Davis — Veterinary Technician
Lindsey is a long time employee of Shelton Veterinary Clinic in Elkton and has been with the practice since 2007. She enjoys working with large and small animals, and assisting with surgeries. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys going fishing, going to the beach, and playing ball with her beloved Dobie "Tyson" and her Lab mix "Jake." She also has a fur baby kitty named “Moxie” that is very elusive and nobody really knows exists.
Lindsey is currently a part timer with the practice, but she just can not give up the profession or her love of animals!
Jolene Johnson — Veterinary Technician
A Florida native, Jolene grew up in St. Augustine. For many years she rode horses and participated in Cracker Day events including her favorite, barrel racing, not to mention winning some as well. Jolene joined the Shelton Veterinary Clinic team in 2015 as a veterinary technician. She continues to pursue her passion of animal care, which she started two years earlier. Jolene treats every client's animal as if it were her own.
Jolene has always had a furry animal in her life along with several feathered ones, too. She has three dogs, who she calls her kids, and spends her free time exploring new places with them.
Christen Tompkins — Veterinary Assistant
Christen is from Trenton, Florida, where she learned to love animals of all kinds on her family’s dairy farm. Now in St. Augustine, she is currently in school to earn a Baccalaureate degree in Biology.
When she isn't at work or at school, you can find Christen riding her horse out at the horse farm or at the beach with her dog, Bella.
